For what purpose are we breeding new peonies
Our main breeding goal is the cut flower market, but we also have material for landscaping or pot growing.
We try to breed early double flowering peonies in the widest possible spectrum of colors. New material from very early till very late.
A large collection of nice smelling material.
We make healthy and strong crops, growing chemical free seedlings. Material that has health problems does not pass the test.
We are testing for most hardiness zones. From 1 till 7.
Our new material not only has beautiful flowers but also looks good in “bud” stage. Our flowers have a long vase life and come to full bloom.
We make material with a lot of flowers.
We breed material with as much side buds as possible for retail selling and without side buds for the High End market.
These peony flowers don’t flop open during global transport.
Also are we working on sustainable solution. Our material is resistant against most Fungi. We don’t spray our selection fields with fungicides. All seedlings that are not strong enough will be discarded. That results in a very strong and healthy Peony Seedlings.
